Allow your body to move in perfect sync with the music and your mind to wander into the world of film. Creative Isan Festival 2022 invites music and movie lovers to join the Music & Film programme that opens spaces for both new and seasoned musicians and filmmakers to showcase their masterpieces and convey stories and inspiration.

MUSIC

Throughout the ages, the inhabitants of Isaan have enjoyed a variety of forms of entertainment. “Fun” is a word that has been used to describe Thailand’s northeastern area over the years. Since the advent of contemporary technology and economic growth, local entertainment practices that used to be considered a “lifestyle” have grown to the status of a “business.”

This year’s Isan Creative Festival offers opportunities for artists and creators to demonstrate their talents. In order to showcase a wide variety of music from a varied set of artists, the festival features two main stages:

“Short films which are made to tell bric-a-brac stories of Srichan neighborhood through professional directors’ perspectives incorporating with local people.” The Creative Economy Agency, Khon Kaen has initiated the Sub-District Short Films Project, aiming to promote and support entrepreneurs in Srichan neighbourhood, provide a platform for Isan entrepreneurs in the film industry, promote tourism, and develop community economy through story-telling based on Srichan neighbourhood.
