ICIS 2026 is an academic Innovation and Creative Works Showcase: An only regional platform for Northeastern Thailand. This academic forum represents the singular regional platform in Northeastern Thailand (ISAN) dedicated to presenting innovative and creative works across five distinct thematic domains: 1. Inno-ISAN Soft Power: Innovations derived from Isan wisdom, encompassing: Culinary Arts, Cinema, Fashion, Festival Culture, and Martial Arts/Self-Defense. 2. Inno-Medical and Wellness: Innovations in the fields of Medicine and Well-being. 3. Inno-Agriculture and Smart Farming: Innovations in Agriculture and Intelligent Farming Systems. 4. Inno-Sustainability: Innovations in Sustainability, encompassing Science-Technology-Digital solutions, and Physical Environment. 5. Inno-Eco & Community Tourism: Innovations in Environmentally and Community-Friendly Tourism. The showcased works originate from an extensive network of designers, creators, academics, professionals, and communities associated with Khon Kaen University, both domestically and internationally. This includes collaborative partners from Germany, the United States, France, Japan, China, and member nations of the ASEAN region. The event features authentic presentations by the designers themselves, complemented by specially curated, accessible performances. The program comprises: - A Fashion Show - Mor Lam and Folk Music Performances - Innovation Exhibition Booths - Business Networking Sessions focused on the Creative Economy - A Hackathon - Startup Project Pitching by over 200 participating ASEAN youth and students. A further significant highlight is the exhibition of innovations generated from the research, academic service, and instructional activities of the Faculty of Architecture at Khon Kaen University, known as APDS KKU. These are novel creations developed during the 2025-2026 period. They are characterized by their successful integration with business sectors, society, and local communities, resulting in tangible prototypes. Each project embodies a complete development cycle—possessing its own collection, prototype, market testing, and branding. This reflects a design philosophy focused on practical, real-world application in daily life and business, as well as problem-solving for communities. This initiative directly aligns with and supports the vision of Khon Kaen University to be "A World-Class Research and Community Development University".
